An unknown person shot two teenagers, killing one, just before 6 p.m. Saturday in the South Side’s Grand Crossing neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The 16-year-old and 17-year-old boys were outside in the 6400 block of South King Drive when they were shot, according to police. The 16-year-old was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right arm.
The 17-year-old, who had been shot in the chest, was also transported to the same hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
Area 1 detectives are investigating.
