From highly-coveted carry-ons to tech accessories that rarely go on sale, the sales were some of the best we’ve seen all year.

Below, we rounded up the 12 most popular travel products T+L readers bought during Prime Day, including portable chargers, packing cubes, luggage sets, and other items that were flying off the virtual shelves. Apple AirTags 4-pack 

Luggage trackers are one of those must-pack items for those of us who are a part of the checked bag-only club and risk losing a suitcase. Similar to other Apple products, AirTags rarely go on sale and when they do, travelers (including travel editors!) run to grab them for any discount available. Once you pair the little circular devices with an iPhone (which takes seconds), you can easily find their location on the Find My app. If you missed your chance to snag the four-pack at a discounted price, be sure to keep an eye out in the fall when more sale events come up again.

Loveledi Portable Charger 2-pack

The very first thing I bought for Prime Day this year was this two-pack of Loveledi portable chargers for $20. The set typically costs $90, so this Prime Day deal was a no-brainer for someone like me who constantly leaves the house with a low phone battery. With USB and USB-C charging ports, the slim device can charge two pieces of tech at once, which is ideal for those of us who travel with a lot of electronics. Another portable charger T+L readers got their hands on this Prime Day was the INIU Portable Charger, which can get an iPhone up to nearly fully charged in an hour and is super slim.

Jisulife Handheld Mini Fan

Depending on where you live or travel, summer heat waves can be absolutely unbearable. I spend my summers in the desert and a mini handheld fan like this one has been a lifesaver for cooling off. This ultra-compact model folds into itself to save space, but it also has hidden features like a flashlight USB port for charging a device on the go. It also has up to 19 hours of battery life on a single charge. Marked down to just $14 for Prime Day, it’s worth investing in this cooling device before summer ends.

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) 

I’ve been covering deal holidays like Prime Day for four years and Apple products typically only go on mega sale during these events. If you’re in the market for a new pair of earbuds for a trip, I highly recommend these noise-canceling Apple AirPods Pro. The sound quality is excellent, the battery life is long-lasting, and the case is so compact that it takes up little to no space in a bag.

Another great option for over-ear headphones is the AirPods Max, which boasts similar noise-canceling features. 

Samsonite Freeform Hardside Expandable 2-piece Set

There were thousands of suitcase deals during Prime Day, but the one markdown that really piqued readers’ interest was this Samsonite luggage set. Samsonite’s Freeform collection is some of the best luggage we’ve tried, so it’s not surprising to see shoppers agree with our thorough testing. The polycarbonate material is super durable, the wheels roll like a dream, and the set looks sleek and stylish in an airport. We’ve seen this set go on sale throughout the year, but this year’s Prime Day brought it down to the low price of $220 (normally $480).

Believe it or not, I got my first set of packing cubes for Prime Day last year and my packing process has never been better. I got a similar set to these popular Veken Packing Cubes, and they are a major game changer for staying organized and packing efficiently. The set of eight cubes comes in varying sizes, which helps neatly pack a range of items from lightweight tank tops to bulky jeans. Packing cubes typically get marked down throughout the year — though these were over 50 percent off for Prime Day — so keep your eyes out for when these T+L reader-loved cubes drop in price again.

Bagsmart Tech Organizer

If you’re like me and stocked up on travel tech during Prime Day, then an electronics organizer like this one from Bagsmart is essential for your next trip. It has a plethora of straps to keep cords from getting tangled and there are tons of zippered and slip pockets for other gadgets. Plus, the compact shape makes it easy to toss it in a backpack or suitcase without losing a lot of space. Even when the tech organizer isn’t on sale for Prime Day, it’s worth investing in for hassle-free travel with accessories.

Ugreen Airplane Bluetooth 5.2 Transmitter 

Yet another piece of travel tech T+L readers couldn’t get enough of during Prime Day was this wireless transmitter that is an inflight essential, in my opinion. The Bluetooth device connects your wireless earbuds or headphones to an airplane entertainment device, so you won’t have to ask the flight attendant for those subpar wired earbuds ever again. I love using my transmitter with my noise-canceling headphones because the sound quality is much better. Plus, this transmitter has a 28-hour battery life, which makes it perfect for long-haul flights.

SereneLife Inflatable Stand-up Paddle Board

Summer is still in full swing, so it’s not too late to pick up an inflatable paddle board like this one from SereneLife. I personally own and tested it myself, and it’s the ideal inflatable for beginner to advanced paddlers. It’s the best scale we’ve tested in our lab because we found it to be extremely accurate and easy to grip and lift. One of my favorite stocking stuffers to buy during Prime Day is the LifeStraw Personal Water Filter because it’s a great gift for outdoorsy people.
