Lucy Thiessen, D, Sr., Georgetown Visitation

Earning this title for a second consecutive season, Thiessen displayed unmatched speed and athleticism on the ice. She contributed 12 goals and eight assists while also helming a Cubs defense that allowed just 1.83 goals per game as Georgetown Visitation again went undefeated and won the Mid-Atlantic Girls’ Hockey League AA division championship. Thiessen was also voted MAGHL player of the year for a second time.

Greer Coughlan, F, Jr., Holy Child

Even in a rocky season for the Tigers, Coughlin was a dominant force on the offensive end as she led her team in goals (25) and assists (nine).

Elyse Harris, F, Fr., Holton-Arms

Harris proved herself as a go-to option when it mattered most, scoring a hat trick in the MAGHL A division championship game, including the overtime game-winner.

Liza Kavanaugh, G, So., Georgetown Visitation

Kavanaugh was a steady presence in net for the Cubs, averaging an MAGHL-best 1.59 goals allowed per game and finishing the season with a .919 save percentage.

Dani Maier, F, Jr., St. John’s

Even while dealing with an ankle injury that caused her to miss four games, Maier finished seventh in the MAGHL AA division with 18 points.

Adeline Shannon, F, Sr., Stone Ridge

Shannon was the piece that kept the Gators’ offense in high gear, her 28 goals and 10 assists propelling Stone Ridge to a runner-up finish in the MAGHL AA division.

Camryn Sidhu, F, Sr., Bishop O’Connell

A leader on and off the ice, Sidhu finished tied for the team lead in points (40) and helped the Knights reach the MAGHL A division and Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title games in their first season as a varsity program.

Peyton Yeager, F, Fr., St. John’s

Voted WCAC player of the year as a freshman, Yeager scored 41 total points as the Cadets captured a third consecutive conference championship.

In her seventh season at the helm of her alma mater (including the 2017-18 season as co-head coach), the 2009 All-Met honoree coached the Panthers to seven wins and a MAGHL A Division championship game victory against Bishop O’Connell.
