Three people were stabbed in separate incidents in Fallbrook, Spring Valley and Vista over a six-hour period late Saturday and early Sunday, a sheriff’s official said.
The first was reported shortly after 10 p.m. on South Mission Road near Almond Street. It was not immediately known if the attack occurred inside a building or on the road.
Officials said few details were known about what led up to the assault. The victim drove himself to a hospital to be treated, said sheriff’s Lt. Patrick Fox.
The second stabbing was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Azalea Drive near Primrose Avenue and involved a group of around 10 people who were fighting. At least one person was armed with a knife, Fox said.
Deputies found a victim suffering from stab wounds who was transported to a hospital for treatment. The person’s condition wasn’t known. No other information was immediately released.
In the third incident, someone called 911 from an apartment building on Helix Street near Hillside Drive in the Casa de Oro area of Spring Valley to report that her brother had been stabbed.
Deputies arrived to find a 20-year-old man with a wound to his back rib area, Fox said. The man was transported to a hospital by paramedics. His condition was not released.
A neighbor was arrested in connection with the assault, Fox said. No other details were immediately available.
