A note on our coverage:
In order to be eligible for our Top 20 rankings, schools must be located in one of our coverage areas (D.C, Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Charles County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, St. Mary’s County, Arlington County, Alexandria City, Manassas, Falls Church, Fairfax County, Loudoun County and Prince William County) and approved by a state organization.
At the start of any season, experience matters. Perhaps the biggest luxury in high school sports is players you can trust. Players that have played in — and won — big games before.
As we begin a new basketball season in the D.C. area, there is plenty of talent. What else is new. But only certain teams enter this season with vast experience, and many of them are featured in this first set of rankings.
