FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Students, teachers and parents attended the ribbon cutting of the Fort Myers Beach Elementary School Tuesday.
The school had its first day for the first time since Hurricane Ian.
After facing a demolition and a reconstruction, the school welcomed 50 students.
Parents fought to keep the school open back in February.
Fort Myers Beach Elementary School must keep a certain number of students enrolled as a condition.
