Retired Lee County Sheriff’s Office K9 dies

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced the passing of a retired K9, Karma, on Friday.

Karma’s career with LCSO began in 2014 when she specialized as a narcotics K9. She worked with both Captain Russell Park and Sergeant Justin Adams during her time with the sheriff’s office, according to LCSO.

Karma helped recover over 70 pounds of marijuana, 100 grams of methamphetamine, 100 grams of heroin, 200 grams of cocaine and over $1 million in drug money, leading to over 100 felony arrests.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Captain Russell Park and Sergeant Justin Adams on their loss. Thank you for your service to our agency and the great residents of Lee County, Karma. Rest easy,” LCSO stated in a Facebook post Friday.
