IMMOKALEE, Fla. —Gaming officials at the Seminole Hotel & Casino in Immokalee celebrated this morning as they announced the official opening of craps, roulette, and in-person sports betting.
Gamblers in Florida can now double their money on the fate of their favorite sports team, play a game of craps or roulette.
In-Person Sports Betting
Florida is now the 37th state and the largest to offer casino sports betting.
Now, the Seminole Casino Hotel in Immokalee is one of only six locations to allow this in Florida.
Its opening included a celebrity red carpet, as well as a ceremonial dice roll.
“Today is a big celebration. Not just for the Seminole tribe but for all of Southwest Florida. Believe me, this is going to open doors for everybody. Not just Immokalee. Everybody,” Danny Gonzalez, the President of the Immokalee Chamber of Commerce, said.
After SCOTUS voted to permit the 2021 compact agreement between the Seminole Tribe and Governor Ron DeSantis, came the approval.
To file a sports bet, it must be through either on Seminole Casino property or via the Hardrock Bet App from within state lines.

In addition, new gaming possibilities will bring in approximately 1,000 jobs in addition to millions of dollars in revenue.
“This will promote a lot of jobs. A lot of business coming to Immokalee. Now people are really going to know where Immokalee is,” Gonzalez said.
The Seminole Casino Immokalee is open 24 Hours, and all the games are currently live.
