Major Crime detectives have been called in after a suspicious death Monday afternoon.

Delta Police say they were called to a house near 47A Avenue in Lander just after 5 p.m. for what crews are calling a “suspicious circumstance involving a deceased woman.”

“Detectives believe there is no risk to the public and can confirm that the death is not related to the BC Gang Conflict,” police posted on X.

Officers are on scene and will be on scene throughout the night to investigate.
