The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, told reporters late Thursday that American diplomats and their Arab counterparts had produced a draft U.N. Security Council resolution regarding the flow of aid to Gaza, which Washington could support. “We’re ready to vote on it,” she said. The U.N. vote is expected to happen Friday. Over a quarter of the Gaza population faces “catastrophic hunger and starvation,” according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification.
