CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Officers arrested a man for reportedly burglarizing a Cape Coral vape shop, including some holiday-related merchandise, on Christmas Eve.

On Dec. 24, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the Cape Coral Police Department responded to an in-progress burglary in King of Vape at 1407 Del Prado Blvd South.

Surveillance footage captured 23-year-old Terrance Gene Schoep running through the business.

When officers arrived, they found Schoep lying on the ground in front of a glass-smashed front door.

Investigation revealed that Schoep broke the glass, entered the vape shop, and stole over $1,500 worth of merchandise, some Christmas-related.

The stolen items were kept in plain sight inside his vehicle near the building.

Officers arrested Schoep and took him to the Lee County Jail. He faces the following charges:

  • 1 Count of Criminal Mischief
