We’re tracking patchy areas of dense fog through 8 to 9 a.m., with more cloud cover than sun for the afternoon. Temperatures will be seasonally average today with highs in the mid 70s.
Rain chances are low through dusk but will be increasing overnight. Lows will fall into the upper 50s by morning.
SWFL will be sandwiched between two low pressure systems, one in the Gulf and one coming from the west.
The two systems will bring in more moisture and scattered rain through Thursday morning. Most of the showers will taper out by the afternoon with some cloud cover lingering. Highs will struggle to get out of the 60s.
A cold front will follow the two systems on Friday and by night you’ll need long sleeves and jackets. Overnight temps will drop into the 40s! The good news is that we will see plenty of sunshine over the weekend. New Year’s Eve will be a chilly one if you’re going to be outside for fireworks and ball drops.
