Forecast: Super sultry week ahead

With a nearly stationary front across southern Georgia, our weather is going to be very humid this week. Rain will also favor inland areas, at least in the afternoon and early evening.

Morning temperatures on Tuesday will start in the mid to upper 70s. A few isolated showers can develop in the Gulf of Mexico in this type of weather pattern. The steering wind from the Gulf could drag a few of them onshore at the beaches.

That chance for rain will migrate to the urban corridor for the mid-morning through lunchtime. Again, these will be isolated to widely scattered. The heating of the day will allow the sea breeze boundaries to form on the east and west coasts.

The collision of the two will happen just east of Lake Okeechobee Tuesday, so the afternoon and evening storms will form there and then track to the east with the steering wind. Some rain may track back over here late in the evening.
