Wrestling in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference has been defined by St. Mary’s Ryken’s dominance for the last few years, but Paul VI is proving itself as more than a worthy contender.
On Wednesday, the Panthers participated in a conference tri-meet with Gonzaga and Ryken and emerged victorious against both. They handled the Eagles with ease, 68-9, and bested the Knights, 39-34, leapfrogging them to claim the No. 1 spot in The Post’s midseason wrestling rankings.
