As of the 5 PM advisory from the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Bret has become post-tropical just north of Columbia. Although there are still strong wind gusts, it is no longer exhibiting tropical characteristics and will continue to fall apart as it drifts west.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Cindy is staying strong with 60 MPH winds. It’s swiftly moving northeast at 21 MPH in the open Atlantic. Cindy is expected to pass well northeast of the Lesser Antilles  Sunday into Monday.

While Cindy remains a strong tropical storm at this time, it will be gradually weakening over the next couple of days. No watches or warnings have been issued for land at this time.

There are no other areas of concern through the next 7 days.

ABC7 will keep you updated with the latest forecast.
