Nearly 300 guests of Boys to Men Mentoring gathered last month for an evening of inspiration and empowerment at the second annual Rooted in Resiliency Celebration at Coasterra on Harbor Island.

The event raised $400,000 to expand mentoring programs to benefit teen boys.

The evening’s program featured best-selling author and educator Stedman Graham.

Boys to Men Mentoring looks to expand into 10 more schools in the 2024-2025 school year and reach more 1,000 boys throughout the county.

The nonprofit organization began in 1996. It assists 750 boys weekly through in-school and after-school programs across 38 schools and 11 districts.

If your organization has held an event, you’re welcome to email a high-resolution photo along with information on the event to [email protected]. Please clearly identify those in the photo, make them aware their image might appear in print and online, include the photographer’s name for credit and be sure to include the who, what, where, when and why information on the event.
