Jackson-Reed softball wins DCIAA championship

For more than a decade, Jackson-Reed has ruled the D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association softball title game. The Tigers consistently field the deepest and most experienced public school team in the District, meaning a championship in early May has become the team’s standard.

On Tuesday afternoon at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, that dominance continued for another season. The Tigers downed School Without Walls, 15-5, in five innings to claim the program’s 11th consecutive city championship.
