Gayle King Jokes She’s Going to Send Her ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Cover to Ex-Husband | Gayle King | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Gayle King is celebrating her new magazine cover!

The 69-year-old CBS Mornings co-anchor recently graced the cover of the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

While attending the magazine’s cover release party on Thursday night (May 16), Gayle opened up about the honor of being asked to appear on the cover and joked that she’s going to send a copy to her ex-husband Bill Bumpus.

Keep reading to find out more…“It has sunk in, but it’s still mind-blowing to me, honestly,” Gayle told ET about appearing on the cover. “I used to look at it all the time, myself… never in a gazillion years did I think I would be that person.”

Gayle said that her two kids, daughter Kirby, 38, and son William, 37, have both reached out to congratulate her on the cover.

“Both of them said to me separately, ‘Mom, this is really cool. We’re very proud of you,’” Gayle shared before jokingly adding, “I wonder what my ex-husband is saying. I’m gonna send him a copy!”

Gayle and Bill were married from 1982 to 1993.
