Sylmar crash injures 8
Eight people including four children were injured after four cars crashed in Sylmar.
LOS ANGELES – Eight people, including four children were involved in a horrific three-car wreck in Sylmar Thursday afternoon.
The Los Angeles city firefighters and police responded to a call in the 14900 block of West Hubbard Street around 3 p.m. Thursday. Four cars were reportedly involved in the crash, including one that had completely flipped over. Images from SkyFOX showed two other vehicles involved with massive damage to their front ends.
Two adults were seriously hurt in the crash, LAFD said, and brought two to the hospital. The four children, between 6 and 12 years old, all had just minor injuries. Two other people were brought to the hospital.
Despite the kids escaping with just minor injuries, LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey said in a statement that “some of the children were improperly restrained,” with seat belts, and that none of the children were in car seats.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
