According to a spokesperson, boxer Mike Tyson suffered a medical episode on Sunday while traveling from Miami to Los Angeles International Airport.

The spokesperson added that “he became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him. However, it’s false reporting that his medical attention caused the flight delay.”

While the flight was delayed, that was attributed to air-conditioning issues on the plane.

This medical incident comes as Tyson is getting ready to return to the ring to fight YouTube sensation Jake Paul on July 20. The match is slated to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be streamed live on Netflix. Tyson will be 58 years old at the time of the fight. Paul is 27.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has given its approval for the fight to be held as a professional match, with eight two-minute rounds instead of the typical 10 or 12 rounds lasting three minutes each.

The former heavyweight champion retired in 2005.
