EXCLUSIVE: Patricia Heaton is returning to television — and to filming in front of a live studio audience — with a guest-starring arc in the second season of Paramount+ Frasier.

On the followup to the Emmy-winning comedy, she will play Holly who is down-to-earth, unpretentious, and openly mocking of overly-intellectual types. A Boston native who tends bar at upscale restaurants and events, Holly is extraordinarily comfortable with both who and where she is in life, a quality that the always-climbing, always-reaching Frasier (Grammer) finds as alien as he does attractive.

This marks a reunion for sitcom royalty Heaton and Grammer, who headlined the 2007 Fox multi-camera comedy Back to You, created by Modern Family‘s Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd. Grammer subsequently guest starred on Heaton’s CBS show Carol’s Second Act; with the Emmy-winning stars playing exes both times.

Heaton has won two Primetime Emmys for starring in the CBS multi-camera comedy Everybody Loves Raymond and a Daytime Emmy for her Food Network series Patricia Heaton Parties. Also known for her lead role on ABC’s long-running single-camera comedy The Middle, Heaton recently starred alongside Brian Cox in the indie feature Mending the Line and in Sony’s faith-based comedy Moms’ Night Out.

She is currently filming a supporting role alongside Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming film, Merv, and has completed the features Unbreakable Boy with Zachary Levi and The Ritual with Al Pacino.

This marks Heaton’s first TV series appearance since the 2019 Carol’s Second Act. She is repped by Vault Entertainment, UTA and Skrzyniarz & Mallean.

Frasier continues to follow Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life after he returns to Boston to face new challenges, forge new relationships, and — with hope — finally fulfill an old dream or two. The series also stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro and Anders Keith. It comes from writers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who executive produce with Grammer, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon. Frasier is produced by CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets.
