If you’re looking for a place to rent in Vancouver, a new report promises some relief, showing the average rate is dropping.

A report from the online rental platform Zumper finds a one-bedroom in the city now goes for $2,650 — down 1.9 per cent from this time last year.

A two bedroom is an average $3,800 a month, which has risen 1.3 per cent.

Vancouver is unique in having lower prices than last June, Zumper says.

“No other market in the top 10 saw annual rates for one-bedrooms in the negatives besides Vancouver,” it said.

The report says Vancouver remains the priciest city in Canada for rentals, followed by Toronto and Burnaby.
