Bicyclist struck and killed by train in Sorrento Valley – San Diego Union-Tribune

A bicyclist was killed after colliding with a train early Friday afternoon in Sorrento Valley, authorities said.

The crash happened shortly before 12:40 p.m. near Sorrento Valley Boulevard and Roselle Street, a San Diego police officer said.

The rider died at the scene.

Pacific Surfliner said on X, formerly Twitter, that service in the San Diego region would be delayed. The Coaster train also announced on X that it had canceled a northbound train.

No further information was immediately available.
