Deputies are investigating after a man was shot in his face Friday in San Marcos, a sheriff’s official said.

The shooting was reported shortly after 9 p.m. on Autumn Drive, a short street that runs parallel to the Sprinter tracks just east of Twin Oaks Valley Road, Lt. Daniel Wilson said.

Deputies arrived and found that the man had been shot. He was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, Wilson said.

No further information was immediately available.
