Fernando Tatis Jr. (quad) is back in the lineup as is Ha-Seong Kim, but the Padres will look to end a five-game losing streak with Jake Cronenworth on the bench for the finale in Philadelphia.
Wednesday’s first pitch is at 10:05 a.m.
A loss would cement the Padres’ first winless road trip of at least six games since a six-game trek through Houston and Wrigley Field from May 8-14 in 2009.
Tatis had been playing through a quad injury for weeks when he took his first day off of the season on Tuesday.
It wasn’t a full day off.
He was a late defensive replacement in right field for David Peralta.
Kim is coming back from his second day off of the season.
Cronenworth has started 72 of the Padres’ 76 games. His last day off was May 11 against Dodgers left-hander James Paxton and he’s taking a seat on Wednesday against arguably the best left-hander in the game in the Phillies’ Ranger Suarez (see below).
To date, Cronenworth is hitting .205/.283/.284 against lefties, compared to .272/.335/.497 against righties.

Without Cronenworth in the lineup, Luis Arraez will slide over to second base for the first time since May 22 and Tyler Wade will get a second consecutive start in the nine-hole, this time at second base.
Wade hasn’t started consecutive games since playing three straight from April 30 to May 3.
Wade was 1-for-3 wit ha run scored as the shortstop on Tuesday and is hitting .253/.333/.277 on the season.
Manny Machado will serve as the designated hitter and bat fourth and Donovan Solano will bat fifth as the third baseman.
With Matt Waldron on the mound, Kyle Higashioka is behind the plate. Higashioka is 0-for-8 with six strikeouts over his last four games (three starts).

Waldron has allowed two runs or less in his last seven starts (1.91 ERA). The knuckleballer allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk in 4⅔ innings in a no-decision against the Phillies last September.
