Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian in North Vancouver on Saturday, June 22.

The North Vancouver RCMP says emergency crews were called around 11:45 p.m. to a crash on Highway 1 near the Mount Seymour Parkway exit.

Mounties say a white sedan that was allegedly travelling westbound struck a woman wearing dark clothing while she was trying to cross the highway.

They say she was taken to hospital in “serious condition.”

“The driver is cooperating with the investigation, and police do not believe speed or alcohol were a factor in the collision,” Mounties said.

The RCMP is asking any witnesses with dash cam footage of the incident travelling east or westbound between 11:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. on June 22 to share their videos. It is asking witnesses to call the police at 604-9851311 and to quote file #24-12230.
