WILSHIRE CENTER, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Three suspects were taken into custody Thursday after a high-speed chase ended in a violent crash in the Wilshire Center neighborhood of Los Angeles.

According to police, deputies with the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station were chasing a robbery suspect armed with a rifle.

The suspect – who was driving a black BMW that was reportedly stolen, according to investigators – crashed into a driver was speeding along Fifth Street when the vehicle slammed into the side of a white vehicle on Wilton Place.

The white car spun out of control, sending the car onto a sidewalk and into the corner of a building. The person in that vehicle was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

After the crash, police said two suspects were apprehended at the scene but one of them took off running.

Officers ultimately tracked down the third suspect, taking him into custody. Police didn’t immediately release the identity of the suspects, saying only that they were two men and a woman.

AIR7 captured deputies confiscating the rifle, but according to investigators, the gun was a replica.
