Finneas wants the queerbaiting allegations against Billie Eilish to stop.
The latest round started on Thursday after Billie joined Charli XCX for the “Guess” remix, where Billie playfully said she would “hit it” in reference to Charli.
“Billie’s verse on ‘Guess’ is highkey predatory,” one person wrote in now-viral TikTok.
The person further accused Billie of “queerbaiting for commercial gain” and claimed that she reduces “girls to mere objects all in an effort to convince the masses that she’s actually into them.”
Well, when Finneas saw the comment, he went off.
“What a take you little clown,” he reportedly wrote in the comments of the post. “I got to watch the entire internet slam my sister for queer-baiting for an entire year when in reality, you were all forcing her to label and out herself.”
While the producer didn’t elaborate on which incident he was referring to, Billie faced queerbaiting allegations in 2019 after releasing “Wish You Were Gay,” and in 2021 after sharing the “Lost Cause” music video, which saw her enjoying a slumber party with a group of girls.
Billie later admitted that she was attracted to women and said she was “never planning on talking” about her sexuality until it came up.
“It’s really frustrating to me that it came up,” she told Rolling Stone in April.
The singer hasn’t commented on the latest queerbaiting allegations at the time of this writing, but if she does, we’ll let you know.
