Cardiff 101 Main Street, in collaboration with the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Town Council Committee, recently announced the upcoming Encinitas Mayoral Election Forum. The event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Ada Harris School Auditorium, located at 1508 Windsor Road, Cardiff. The candidates for Encinitas mayor are Bruce Ehlers and Tony Kranz (listed in alphabetical order).
The forum will provide the opportunity for Encinitas residents to engage directly with the candidates for the position of Encinitas mayor. Each candidate will have the chance to respond to questions submitted by the community, offering insights into their policies and vision for the future of Encinitas.
Residents are encouraged to submit their questions in advance. Cardiff Town Council seeks to inform resident voters of candidate views on local matters. The public is encouraged to submit their questions for the candidates to [email protected] between Sept. 3 and Sept. 15. The public’s questions will be reviewed and compiled by the CTC committee and the moderator one day prior to the forum. No questions will be accepted after the deadline or on the day of the event, according to a news release.
The forum will be moderated by Stephen Wyer, a journalist and podcaster known for his work on the Stay Classy Podcast. Wyer has reported on local politics, crime, and enterprise for The Coast News, The Union (Sacramento), CBS Los Angeles, and several Los Angeles area newspapers.
