The Salk Institute for Biological Studies hosted its 28th annual Symphony at Salk event on the institute’s campus in La Jolla on Aug. 17.

The outdoor concert featured 16-time Grammy Award-winning composer, musician and producer David Foster, singer Katharine McPhee, the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sean O’Loughlin.

It was attended by Salk supporters including many of San Diego’s science, philanthropic, government and industry leaders.

Proceeds from the event support the nonprofit institute’s wide-ranging scientific research. ♦
