Isolated showers are possible through the first half of Friday night. It will be partly cloudy and muggy overnight. Most of us will be staying in the 80s through the early morning.
Rain chances are lower over the weekend for our coastal communities. We will see scattered storms develop east and along I-75 Saturday afternoon. Rain chances are at 40% on Saturday and 30% for Sunday. Highs will reach the lower 90s each day.
We will be watching for a plume of Saharan dust to arrive on Monday. This will keep our rain chances lower for the first half of next week. However, it may make the sky look a little hazy and trigger allergies for some people.
Tracking the Tropics:
The other good news about Saharan dust is that it keeps our atmosphere drier, which in turn keeps the tropics quiet. The National Hurricane Center is not tracking any areas for possible development at this time.
