My family has lived in San Diego since 1985. Each year policies are passed which erode our city with no solutions from the Mayor’s Office. Once we had a city manager. In 2006, San Diego voters passed Proposition F, which changed the city’s council/manager form of government. I recall this being called a switch from weak mayor to strong mayor. Well, now it seems we have a weak mayor and no city manager. Perhaps this was an error in judgment as city operations seemed to go downhill from there. Someone with management experience, who does not answer to the mayor, might make a significant difference. Please consider reinstating the position of city manager.
