Book Review: Elizabeth Strout brings all her favorite Mainers together in 'Tell Me Everything'

Elizabeth Strout is back with another novel set in her beloved Maine. “Tell Me Everything” features characters from all of Strout’s previous books. At the heart of the story are writer Lucy Barton and lawyer Bob Burgess, who take frequent walks together as Bob works to resolve a murder investigation. AP reviewer Rob Merrill says Strout’s gift is making readers stop and think about lives — from the exciting to the mundane — and that’s what makes this book so appealing. Other than the resolution of the murder case, not much happens in “Tell Me Everything,” and yet there’s a sense that so much is always happening.
