Police say McBride Avenue in New Westminster is closed between 8th Street and the Patullo Bridge as crews respond to a vehicle on fire.
The New Westminster Police Department Hazardous Material team is on scene and advising drivers to avoid the area and residents to close their windows.
Drivers can take 8th Street to Royal Avenue to reach the bridge.
