Charlotte Drozd, the daughter of Steven Drozd, the longtime drummer of the rock band The Flaming Lips, is missing.

The Seattle Police Department confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Drozd was reported missing on Oct. 5. A police detective in the Missing Persons Unit has been assigned to her case. SPD is asking the public to call 911 if Drozd is located.

Drozd, who goes by “Bowie,” was last seen Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11:30am in the 400 block of Broad Street by Seattle’s Space Needle, according to the SPD. Her stats are listed as “16 y/o, WF, 5’9”, 140lbs, brown eyes and long brown hair. Wearing khaki color shorts and pink shoes.”

In a post on Monday morning to his X account, Steven Drozd shared an image of his daughter with the caption, “Our daughter Charlotte “Bowie” Drozd has been missing in Seattle since 11:30am Saturday. Last seen on the monorail. We welcome any information or help.”

Drozd’s bandmate, the Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, posted a flier featuring an image of Drozd with her stats to his Instagram on Monday. The poster urges readers to “call Seattle police with any information,” and also lists the contact information of Drozd’s mother Becky.

Coyne captioned the poster, “URGENT!!! Please help if you can !!! Steven’s daughter ( she is 16 years old ) is missing !!! She was last seen at the Space Needle early on Saturday….I’ll post more info as soon [as] I can.” The post was jointly shared by Coyne; Flaming Lips merch shop Love Yer Brain; Atria Creative, which makes visuals for the band; and the official band Instagram.

“Thank you Wayne for posting,” Drozd commented on the post. “We don’t know what to do.”

Current and former Flaming Lips band members have all shared the poster and joined the call for information on Charlotte’s disappearance, including Michael Ivins, Kliph Scurlock, Matthew Duckworth, and Nicholas Ley (both of whom shared on Instagram stories).

Stars like Juliette Lewis (“last seen in Seattle, please help,” she wrote on Instagram stories) and musicians like the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea (“please help, keep an eye out if you can,” he wrote on Instagram) and Kurt Vile (“sending lots of love and light to the universe,” he wrote on Instagram) also shared the poster.

Also on Saturday, Nell Smith, a musician who recorded a collaborative album of Nick Cave covers with The Flaming Lips, died at 17. “It’s been an absolutely terrible couple of days in Flaming Lips world,” Duckworth wrote in an Oct. 7 Instagram story.
