LOS ANGELES – An apparent road-rage incident led to a deadly shooting, multiple chains of car crashes and the 5 Freeway shut down for at least seven hours (and counting) in Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the alleged road-rage incident happened between a gold Cadillac and a group of alleged gunmen on surface streets on Thursday, October 10. The feud spilled onto the 5 Freeway near Boyle Heights and then the gold Cadillac ended up rear ending a car that was nothing to do with the alleged road-rage incident.
After the Cadillac crashed, the suspects got out of the car they were in and started shooting at the people inside the Cadillac, CHP said.
CHP said the driver of the Cadillac was able to flip a U-turn against traffic in the northbound lanes and ended up getting into another crash with other cars that also had nothing to do with neither the shooting for the alleged road-rage incident.
The shooting ended up killing the passenger and the driver of the Cadillac was taken to the hospital.
