Appliances
When Our Place ventured into the appliance space, we were initially hesitant. These things were cute, sure—but could they deliver on functionality? We tested both the Dream Cooker (Our Place’s version of an Instant Pot) and its 6-in-1 Wonder Oven, and the answer was a resounding yes. The Wonder Oven might look like it belongs in the Barbie Dreamhouse, but it handled whole roast chickens and batches of cookies with ease. The Dream Cooker performed so well, we actually prefer it to the Instant Pot. Plus, it’s the kind of thing you’ll actually want to leave out on your counter.
Always Pans
We’ll cut to the chase: the Always Pan 2.0 isn’t our number one favorite nonstick pan, but it’s a pretty good one—especially when it’s on sale. We have different feelings about the enameled cast-iron Always Pan, which is our favorite of the bunch. If you want something that looks (and performs) like Le Creuset on a budget, buy this right now. The Titanium Always Pan Pro is a nice upgrade if you’re looking for a stovetop-to-oven piece of stainless-steel cookware with some nonstick properties. And if you’re cooking for a small household, the mini version of the classic Always Pan is nice to have on hand.
Perfect Pots
Pots are the workhorses of any cookware arsenal, and they’re very rarely pretty. Once again, Our Place breaks the mold by making pots that look good enough to double as serveware while doing everything you want a pot to do—and then some. Our favorite of the bunch is the cast-iron version, which is sort of like the brand’s answer to a round Dutch oven. But we also like the classic Perfect Pot and the miniature version.
Other Cookware
Our Place has continued to branch out to the point where you can pretty much outfit your entire kitchen with its products, which is great for those who like things matchy-matchy. Of Our Place’s other pieces, we’re most excited about the nesting five-piece bakeware set, which gives you all the flexibility of having a ton of baking pans without the cluttered cabinets. If you don’t have outdoor space but long for a grill, consider its stovetop griddle pan and cast-iron hot grill. Both excel at high-heat stovetop searing, no actual grill required.
