These Coffee Tools Can Save You More Than $125 per Month

While there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself to a coffee shop trip every so often, those lattes really add up over time. At $5 or more per drink, I’ve easily spent $125 (or more) a month on coffee, from grabbing a drink on my way to work to the always-tempting Starbucks inside Target.

To save myself some cash and effort, I’m eyeing some new money-saving coffee tools at Amazon. From a French press to a writer-loved Nespresso machine to the quietest coffee grinder we tested, these gadgets will make it easier to brew your favorite beverage at home — and they start at just $8.

Best Money-Saving Coffee Tools at Amazon

Zulay Kitchen Milk Frother

Amazon

Whether you’re partial to a cappuccino or an iced coffee with cold foam, this handheld milk frother is a cheap way to level up your at-home coffee creations. The battery-operated tool doesn’t take up much precious counter space and comes in tons of colors, making it a great stocking stuffer for your fellow coffee lover. Plus, it’s easily portable and can be used to mix and froth other beverages besides coffee, like greens powders or matcha.

Krups Silent Vortex Coffee Grinder

Amazon

While you can always buy preground coffee in a pinch, grinding your own fresh beans will produce a better flavor and allow you to control the grind size. This affordable coffee grinder is compact and quiet with just one easy-to-use button and a removable bowl that’s dishwasher-safe. And best of all, it’s the quietest coffee grinder we tested, which is ideal for early mornings when some members of the household are still sleeping.

Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ Deluxe Coffee and Espresso Machine

Amazon

This Nespresso machine saves one of our writers over $100 a month, helping her make her favorite drip coffee, oat milk lattes, and cold brew without popping out to the neighborhood coffee shop. The surprisingly portable machine brews single and double espresso and 5-, 8-, and 12-ounce cups of coffee. It also comes with a Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother for making cozy lattes or cappuccinos.

Bialetti Moka Express

Amazon

Sometimes all you need is a simple espresso with no frills. If you don’t make enough espresso to justify a fancy espresso machine with lots of functions, you might as well save your cash and opt for the Bialetti Moka Express. It’s our favorite overall moka pot, impressing us during our tests with its tasty coffee and ease of use. Whether you prefer a shot of espresso or a specialty latte, this classic tool is the gold standard of stovetop espresso makers.

Ninja 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Brewer

Amazon

For coffee drinkers who find themselves reaching for a second or third cup most mornings, this 12-cup Ninja coffee maker will save you from countless coffee shop trips. Program it to brew later, and you’ll have piping-hot coffee ready for you when you wake up. Plus, it’ll keep your coffee warm for up to four hours.

Bodum Chambord 34-Ounce French Press Coffee Maker

Amazon

To save time (and a good bit money), this French press is the perfect set-it-and-forget-it way to brew coffee. You just fill it with coffee grounds and water, then press it down when the coffee has reached your desired brewing time. Bodum’s glass French press is elegant yet simple, and you can choose from a variety of finishes to match your kitchen or coffee bar.

Melitta Porcelain 1-Cup Pour-Over Cone Coffee Maker

Amazon

It doesn’t get much easier than pour-over coffee, and making coffee at home with the Melitta pour-over cone allows you to brew directly into your favorite mug or travel cup. It had the best value of all of the pour-overs we tested thanks to its straightforward design and handy windows that let you peek at your coffee’s flow rate. You’ll eventually have to add coffee filters to your grocery list, which aren’t expensive, but this coffee maker comes with a free set to get you started.

De’Longhi Stilosa Manual Espresso Machine

Amazon

If your coffee order is always changing or you want the flexibility to make different drinks, then this De’Longhi manual espresso machine is well worth its $85 sale price tag. With almost 7,900 perfect ratings, the machine has a built-in milk frother and 15 bar pump pressure for making delicious espresso that will rival your favorite cafe.

Cosori Electric Gooseneck Kettle

Amazon

For pour-over or French press, this electric gooseneck kettle from Cosori is safer and more precise than using a stovetop kettle. There are five presets for coffee and different types of tea, so you can program your water to be between 170 and 212 degrees with the push of a button. While most electric gooseneck kettles will cost you over $100, this one is a great deal at under $70 and earned the title of the best value model we tested.
