A suspect was jailed on suspicion of vehicular homicide after a hit-and-run driver killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning, Forest Lake police said.
The suspect was being held in the Washington County jail.
The incident was reported at 1:22 a.m. at 95 Broadway Ave. W., authorities said.
Attempts to save the victim failed, and they were declared dead at the scene, police said in a news release.
An investigation reportedly was underway.
