Jason Fields selected as new Fort Myers Police Chief

FORT MYERS, Fla. — City council members selected Jason Fields as the new Fort Myers Police Chief on Monday evening.

Fields was the Acting Major for the Fort Myers Police Department (FMPD) and has served 20 years with the department during his 21-year career in law enforcement.

On June 23, the Fort Myers City Council voted against the city manager’s selection, Reo Hatfield.
