open-to-the public fitness programming and the newest public art display.

Navy Yard

s Newest Public Art Project

On May 5, the Navy Yard unveiled its latest public art instillation,

Greetings from the Mirage

(#NavyYard Mirage), a domed sculptural art installation that will transport
you to a surrealist soft desert created by sculpture artist Matty Geez.

The exhibit is open now through June 18, 2023, from sunup
to sundown, Monday through Sunday. This artwork is free for all to view and
experience, and it requires no ticket or reservation.

Greetings from the Mirage located at the corner of 11th St and Kitty Hawk Ave at the Navy Yard.

This is the sixth collaborative public art partnership between Group X, a
group of Philadelphia-based artists, curators, and organizers whose members
are anonymous, and the Navy Yard. Previous works include
Alpha Sacred Beings
(which is still on display), Enter the Cocoon, and the Navy Yard Sea
Monster.
