A man driving a classic car in north Minneapolis was hit by a stolen Hyundai and killed, officials said.
The crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of N. Washington and 22nd avenues, police said.
The Hyundai’s driver was gone by the time officers arrived, according to police. No arrests have been announced as of late Wednesday morning.
The man in the other vehicle, a classic Chevy Impala convertible, was taken to HCMC and died soon afterward at the hospital. Officials have yet to release his identity other than to say he was in his 40s.
A woman who police believe was a passenger in the stolen Hyundai was taken to the hospital and was expected to survive her injuries. Her identity also has not been released.
Police have yet to provide further specifics about how the crash occurred.
