Cape Coral says hurricane debris in canals will be gone by mid-summer

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The City of Cape Coral says they expect to have all of its canals clean of Hurricane Debris by June 30th.

The city says its contracted debris hauler has already collected more than 742,918 cubic yards of Hurricane Ian-related canal debris. That’s about 35 football fields filled with debris that sits at 10 feet high.
Officials say haulers need your help to finish the city’s freshwater canals. To report debris inside a canal can 

contact the 311 Call Center via:

Keep in mind when reporting debris in a canal, the City’s Stormwater Division has resumed its responsibility for removing debris from saltwater canals.
