According to the Sunday Times, the UK should be more worried about Iran. The paper reports that the home secretary believes Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is now the biggest threat to national security. Quoting sources close to Suella Braverman, the paper says she fears Iran is stepping up its activities and trying to recruit organised crime gangs to target opponents of the regime. The Sunday Times says calls to make the Revolutionary Guard a proscribed organisation have been resisted by the Foreign Office because of the risk to diplomatic relations.
