Rescuers resumed the search Wednesday morning for a man who went missing at a Winnetka beach early Tuesday.
The search resumed about 7:30. a.m., according to Josie Clark, Winnetka communications manager.
Tuesday afternoon the U.S. Coast Guard and the Winnetka Fire Department suspended their search for the man because of rough conditions on Lake Michigan, Clark said.
The National Weather Service had issued a beach hazard earlier warning of waves up to 9 feet and dangerous currents at beaches along the lake.
