FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Fort Myers Beach Mayor Dan Allers has announced he is running for re-election in 2024.
Allers moved to the area in 2012 and became a Chamber of Commerce ambassador. He was appointed by the town council to the Bay Oaks Recreational Campus Advisory Board (BORCAB).
He served with BORCAB for two years. Allers was also appointed to the Local Planning Agency before he was elected to the town council.
Allers was born and raised in Minnesota.
In 1998, Allers formed his own construction company.
Allers has been an advocate for water quality as a Captains for Clean Water member.
