COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A person was taken into custody after deputies said they received reports of someone possibly posing a threat to Barron Collier High School.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), reports came in around 12:30 PM of a possible threat. Deputies then found the suspect at an off-campus location and took them into custody.
Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) said it was a “secure the campus” threat where all students from Barron Collier and Osceola Elementary were kept indoors.
The schools have returned to regular operations, officials said.
CCSO said the investigation is ongoing.
