Fishtown’s biggest street festival is returning to Frankford Avenue on September 23. Now in its 10th year, Fishtown Fall Feastivale will feature over 125 vendors, including local restaurants, bars, makers, DJs, live bands and more.
The free, all-day festival will highlight the burgeoning restaurant scene in one of the city’s fastest-growing neighborhoods. Johnny Brenda’s, Fette Sau, LMNO, Wm. Mulherins Sons, La Colombe and Sancho Pistola’s and Interstate Drafthouse are just a fraction of the popular local eateries participating in the massive street festival. The event will also feature a block party in celebration of Oktoberfest, complete with live music, face painters, balloon artists and kids’ crafts.
The food-and-drink-centric street festival will also feature live music, DJs, a dunk tank and over 50 local art and retail vendors. The line-up of live music artists will be announced in mid-September. The DJ stages will be programmed by Johnny Brenda’s, Frankford Tiki Bar and Fishtown District.
The all-ages event will also include carnival games like soccer darts, corn hole, whack-a-mole, giant Connect Four and giant Jenga.
Fishtown Fall Feastivale will stretch along Frankford Avenue from Girard Avenue to Palmer Street, shutting down traffic on the often busy street to make way for vendor tents and huge crowds of attendees. The festival will operate from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
