An outbound flight at O’Hare International Airport returned to the gate Friday night when a 31-year-old man’s erratic behavior caused the flight crew to halt the flight, Chicago police said.
About 8:45 p.m., the outbound flight was headed toward the runway when an announcement from the cockpit was made about an earlier incident that caused the flight to be delayed, police said.
A passenger exited his seat and began pacing the cabin talking in a repetitive manner. A decision was made to return to the gate, where the man was escorted off of the plane. He was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation, police said.
No one was hurt during the incident.
