Flanked by neon-outfitted dancers, Anitta performed her songs “Funk Rave” and “Used to Be” at the 2023 VMAs tonight in an energetic medley. The Brazilian singer was nominated in the Best Latin category for the single, her first for her new label Republic. The show was broadcast live from the VMAs 2023 ceremony at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Check it out below.

Anitta also performed at last year’s ceremony, where she was nominated in the Best Latin category for her song “Envolver.” In April, she publicly complained about her contract with Warner Bros. and was released from her contract; she signed with Universal Music Group’s Republic Records soon afterwards.
